These are some of our favourite sites, typically those without major commercial interests.

bengalcat.com

The bengalcat.com site is run by TIBCS - The International Bengal Cat Society, and provides a wealth of Bengal related information.

The GCCF

The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy is the definitive UK source of official cat-related information, and their web site covers many of the areas they deal in. There is little reference to the Bengal on their site as yet, but it is interesting to see the Bengal's rise in popularity through the 1990s in the Analysis of Breeds registered.

    Recommended reading

A couple of books stand out as recommended reading as they are totally focussed on the Bengal. They aren't too easy to find in bookshops, particularly outside of the USA, but can be purchased easily and quickly online.

cover Guide to Owning a Bengal Cat by Jean S. Mill.

Find out all about the Bengal from the person who created the breed! This won't have any really detailed knowledge that will be new to breeders. However, it is an attractive introduction to the breed with lots of colour pictures. [Find out more or buy online]

cover Bengal Cats: Everything About Purchase, Care, Nutrition, Breeding, Health Care, and Behavior (A Complete Pet Owner's Manual) by Dan Rice, Michelle Earle-Bridges (Illustrator)
