Dr Jo de Klerk is a veterinarian from Kent, England. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College with an Honours in Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. She then went on to complete a Masters in Tropical Animal Health and a Certificate in Companion Animal Pain Management.
Jo works as a mixed-species veterinarian, as well as being involved in one of the UK’s fastest telemedicine services. Alongside her clinical work, Jo occasionally takes part in public speaking. She is also an avid writer, and has written several popular books, the most well known of which are ‘Tales from a Young Vet’ and ‘Tales from a Wild Vet’.
She enjoys writing and publishes several e-books each year, as well as working as a freelance writer for various companies.
Jo was also one of the stars of BBC 2’s Young Vets, a very popular hit TV series, well known under her maiden name, Jo Hardy. She has been featured in the Daily Express, The Guardian, and Female First.
